I purchased this send after reading a description of it and Truman Capote’s book unanswered prayers. I absolutely love the scent, as does my husband, and since it was the first unisex scent developed Jicky also smells wonderful on him. It’s a fun light fragrance at first but as it warms becomes deep and romantic. I love it! The package arrived beautifully packed to protect it from damage.

Jicky is a very interesting fragrance. It has a real bite to it and is fizzy and bubbly ,at first, like champagne . I had never had an experience like this before ,with any other fragrance. When it dries down, it becomes little bit flowery and cloves’ spicy with addition of honey , but still with some bite to it.I would consider it almost animalistic and masculine. I think men can wear it even better then women. The fragrance is sexy, evening, fall, winter and mature. It lasts long and does not loose it’s bubbly quality even at dry down.

Jicky Guerlain. This fragrance smells extremely fecal . The fecal odor does not go away even after the dry down. I like sophisticated and complex fragrances. I do not wear mass produced, crowd pleasers, but this fragrance is not for me.

Jicky was a blind buy that I almost sent back. I am glad I kept it as it has become my go-to favorite after vintage Shalimar (they are similar). Jicky is complex, a bit harsh at first but has a lovely dry-down. It is definitely unisex and has a bit of an old-fashioned barbershop vibe. I'm not sure if this is true, but I read somewhere that it was the favorite fragrance of Jackie Onassis, Brigitte Bardot AND Sean Connery! I find it hard to imagine three more different personalities, but I can see how Jicky would appeal to all of them. give it a try, but don't give up if you hate it at first. It is an acquired taste.
