L'eau d' issey absolue. Cloves and musk. I do not smell honey, vanilla, or tuberose. First Spritz out of bottle is strong, heavy, cloves. Dies down quickly on my skin to off-putting odor of over ripe spoiled fruit. No lotus, no freesia, no garden, no amber glow of sunset. Does not to me have any commonalities with l'eau d issey original scent.

I'm on this fence with L'Eau d'Issey Absolue. This reminds me very much of a lighter version of Elizabeth Arden's Sunflowers. I think it will be nice in very hot weather. It is too sheer and light to use in the cooler months. Summer heat might make it project and be more than just the skin scent it is now as silage is practically non-existent. Longevity isn't the greatest either. From what I can smell it seems like it is good quality though. Issey's scents are known for being sheer and light so unless you know that upfront you won't be disappointed.
