I blind bought this based on the reviews saying it is a light, clean smell. First impression, it's a little strong when you first apply it. I sprayed it on my neck and that was a mistake. It was overpowering for a good 30 minutes before it settled down and became a pleasant scent. I'm sensitive to strong perfumes. If you're sensitive like me, this might not be what you're looking for.

I thought the first and long gone edition of Eau de Givenchy was the epitome of lightness, crispness and feminity so I stopped wearing perfume for 2 decades. Because my husband passed away last year I wanted to capture back the fragrance I was wearing when I met him which was Eau de Givenchy. Low and behold, I fell in love again... but with Jessica McClintock's fragrance which is as fresh but with a wonderful lily of the valley smell, surpassing even the very expensive Diorissimo.
