Cacharel Pour L'Homme is a very nice fragrance. Actually, I would consider it formal. It is not a loud fragrance and would be great for office wear. It starts out citrusy with what I detect as a strong iris note. After half an hour, it settles down into a pretty linear fragrance with a very prominent note of nutmeg, thus conducive for the cooler/colder months of the year. I do love nutmeg fragrances, so I am pleased with this purchase. Yes, the bottle does look like the British Sterling bottle. The only complaint I have with the packaging is that they've replaced the shiny silver lettering on the bottle with a dull dark gray lettering. I don't know if they did that to cut corners and save money, but I wish they would bring back the shiny silver lettering as it gave the bottle a more elegant look. Of note, Lacoste for Men also replaced the shiny silver lettering with the dark gray lettering. It sure looked nicer with the shiny silver lettering. Now, they're just nondescript dull containers. Cacharel, please bring back the shiny silver lettering. It looks more elegant and luxurious.

It's been quite difficult lately finding Oscar for Men by Oscar de la Renta, a wonderful long-lasting fragrance. However, if you like Oscar, you're going to LOVE Cacharel Pour Homme. In my opinion, they smell almost identical. Cacharel Pour Homme can be worn casually or formally, it's up to you, with t-shirt or suit and tie. If you can't find Oscar, try Cacharel Pour Homme. You might just say you found a superb replacement! A+!

For me there is no other perfume that has this aroma, it is unique, it is very unique. It has a magical citrus, it is a fragrance from the 80s but it does not smell old, it is spectacular.

My friend from Lebanon wore this in the 1990's. It is an irresistible scent. I bought it for my husband 10 years later. I wear it or spray it around the house when I want to smell it. It is the most mesmerizing scent. Also, perfume triggers migraines for me, but not cacharel. I can smell it all day with no reaction.
