I find this fragrance to be absolutely brilliant and sophisticated. Not particularly unique as there are several others in the same realm (Bleu Noir, Silver Mtn Water, Mefisto) but definitely a classic. Maybe more mature than most young men would find appealing but those over 30 should appreciate. If you like Terre D'Hermes (this doesn't smell anything like it), but I feel like you'd still be likely to enjoy Declaration as they share the same perfumer. .

I am a woman who has worn Declaration EDT for twenty years. I happened upon it in a Cartier boutique. I'm not into synthetic fragrances and had searched for a few years to replace a favorite go-to fragrance by Aveda, Equipoise. I receive compliments on this constantly and find that it is definitely an androgynous fragrance. There was mention of cumin by another reviewer, I must say it is a bottom note and not a top note in the blend. Vetiver would be the top note detected. SO light, fresh, and never overwhelming in public. I will continue to buy this forever. When I find a fragrance that is not offensive, or loud I am a customer for life. I buy the tester bottles of 3.3 EDT, what a bargain.
