Eau Sauvage Parfum (2012) was a deep, mysterious beast of a Myrrh fragrance. It was mindblowing for a designer release, and arguably a better fragrance that this reformulation. But, it wasn't Eau Sauvage. The opening of Eau Sauvage Parfum (2017) is instantly recognizeable as a deeper, richer, and longer-lasting version of that classic. I prefer it for that. I like flankers that maintain the DNA.

This is a great scent but it is important to know that this is a very different animal than the EDT version of Eau Sauvage. They are simply NOT the same fragrances. This Parfum has much more Vetiver in it than the EDT. That may be your thing, or not, just be forewarned. The longevity is very much lengthened over the EDT, and one spray of this (once per day) is enough for most occasions, and most men.
