Excellent high end spicy/woody scent from a perfume house that needs no introduction. The cardamom is prominent in the opening and doesn't overpower upon dry down. The orris is present and does a great job softening the spice without becoming feminine or powdery. Projection is solid, but not so much that its offensive. It smells a like a grown up and more sophisticated version of Cartier Declaration. I wouldnt recommend it as a blind buy unless you gravitate towards spicier scents. The price point is moderately high, but the quality of the product justifies the price tag. The presentation is unparalleled. It comes in a black box with gold trimmings and a magnetic closure. There is a pamphlet tucked inside with info on the brands heritage and their vision. The bottle is heavy and feels really well made. The gold crown cap is full of ornate detail. It looks as expensive as it smells! This scent is at home in your finest dress clothes, but does not feel out of place in a hoodie and jeans. It leans more towards a winter or fall scent as the spice could be a bit much in extreme heat. I will absolutely keep a bottle of this in my collection!
