Escentric Molecule 05

The entire line of fragrances from Escentric Molecules form a veritable cornucopia of scents that will envelope you (and every individual you pass) in a comforting blanket of nature-inspired minimalist (yet, somehow, encompassing) olfactory delights... Okay, maybe that description was a little pretentious, but it felt very fitting for this relative newcomer. While the marketing can come off kind of... Bohemian; whether you enjoy that or it puts you off completely, for better or worse, it certainly evokes a similar image to that of their single note fragrances (in the Molecule line). While the name of each scent does nothing to convey a description, with the possible exception of Molecule 01 being the quintessential Iso-E Super, even these are oddly fitting. To come right down to brass tacks, this is the honest truth about the entire line: there is something for everyone here. When you find the one that appeals to you (or your partner... or your "type"), you will never want to be without it. If, however, the first sample you smell is not for you, it is likely that you will be put off completely. Each element is a different kind of Marmite. You will either Love it, or hate it. My suggestion: Start by getting the Discovery Sampler, and wear one spritz (seriously, you will not need any more than that) of each "Molecule" for each Weekday. The next week, go through the Escentric line. Week 3: pick your favorites from the previous two weeks, and layer a Molecule and an Escentric. Just ensure that the combination makes sense... (i.e. don't layer Molecule 4 with Escentric 3 unless you are CERTAIN that you, and all those you will interact with, will appreciate an Amber + Fougere combo). There are few fragrances that are truly as multi-use and unisex as these, and there are only 2 other fragrances that I ensure are stocked in my cabinet. Find your new favorite from this manufacturer. You won't be disappointed.
