Calandre is gorgeous and lasts forever (especialliy for an eau de toilette)! The bottle is absolutely beautiful, enclosed in a silver "cage." It is quite green and herbal, and will NEVER be out of my wardrobe. I hope Paco Rabanne continues making for as long as I'm alive. So opulent and beautiful. Smells like beautiful antique green curtains (which is a GREAT thing)!!! A+!

Have worn this perfume for 50 years. My husband wouldn’t know me without it. He loves the smell that stays in my cashmere sweaters. Have tried many other fragrances but nothing is me but Calandre!

I wore Calandre in 1974 while living in Paris. It was a time when fashion was influenced by wonderful menswear ease and tailoring. I don't know whether it is true, that this fragrance started out as a mens' cologne-- but I certainly recall the clean, grassy top notes with a very slight hint of what parfumers use to call "tobacco" bottom notes; yet it was intensely feminine and unusual. I thought I might try this fragrance again, after all these years, and was very disappointed. I can detect the "herbal tones" clearly, and unfortunately it is a little medicinal when first sprayed; it will soften down, however. I understand that I am not alone in remembering a fragrance differently, but this was way off the mark. C'est la vie!
