I think they did a spectacular job with reformulating this great beauty of the past! She is not as intense as she once was, but she is still very beautiful and wearable, even unisex by today's standards. I prefer to wear this in the Spring, when the temp is in the 50s/60s, and the trees are sprouting their fresh green buds. At this price, try it if you like green, fresh, lightly floral, leather and moss!

An old favorite. Despite its 1959 launch date, this one feels VERY 70s to me, possibly because of my familiarity with Clinique Aromatics Elixir. It's rather abrasive and probably very masculine to the contemporary nose (as most of the popular women's fragrances these days seem to be either "overwhelming gourmand" or "overwhelming sweet floral"), but I like its dry and buzzy vibe. Lots of complexity in this one, but to me it reads as "leather plus a very fancy soap, with a side of spicy smoky warmth and a hint of white floral." Too intense for hot weather imo, but absolutely delicious for fall/winter. If you like the aforementioned Aromatics Elixir, the OG 1985 Fendi, Robert Piguet's Bandit, YSL Rive Gauche or similar scents, you'll maybe like this one too.
