An exuberant mix of warm, spicy and deep notes, Ambre Sultan is an intense fragrance. Designed for both men and women, the fragrance is from the design house of Serge Lutens and was introduced in 2000. The fragrance opens with scents of Coriander, Bay Leaf, and Sandalwood. The scent continues to be intense with notes from Angelica, Resins, Myrrh, Oregano, Myrtle and Amber. Whiffs of Patchouli, and Vanilla captivate the senses for a soothing and lasting fragrance.

Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan scent has a timeless French scent to it. It does not project like Guerlain Bois Mysterieux but waits to be discovered. Vanilla, Amber, Benzoin, Patchouli and Myrrh are dominant notes. An excellent blend. This leans more mature. Say 35+

I bought this on the blind based on the description. I lean toward the warm musky woodsy leathery scents. I also bought 6-8 other Lutens on the blind, because of the quality from Ambre Sultan.. Some I love and still wear, yet some are great but on my skin they fade away. Ambre Sultan is BY FAR the best scent I have tried from the house of Lutens and it's the one I have never let myself run out of since first application. Too many compliments, relatives, friends and strangers as well. Lasts on my skin but never overpowering. I think it's near perfect. Woody, leathery....calming. I would love to see it in 100ml more often. Hint!.

Very nice semi-sweet (top notes)scent and blended well. Not a projection beast. On my skin moderate projection for 4 to 6 hrs then it's a wonderful spicy skin scent for several hours. I would definitely buy again
