By the Fireplace is a woody and interesting fragrance for women and men from the house of Maison Martin Margiela. The intriguing scent is created by Marie Salamagne and was launched in 2015. At the start of this charming scent are notes from orange blossom, pink pepper and clove. The notes of guaiac wood, juniper and chestnut is enthralling at the heart, while the base is filled with notes from peru balsam, cashmeran and vanilla.

I absolutely love this fragrance. It’s has to be your type of fragrance though or you might not like it, but I am in love with dark witchy perfumes that don’t smell like anyone else and this is smoky, woody, cinnamon and so sexy.. This is by far my most favorite fragrance I have ever worn..I get so many compliments! It’s mostly a fall/winter scent. I am a woman and mix it will vanilla or something sweet or wear it alone on sexy date nights!
