Chantal Thomass Fragrances

The Chantal Thomass brand is usually associated with fine, elegant lingerie. A fashion designer born in Paris, Chantal Thomass founded the label that bears her name in 1975. She had previously created ready-to-wear garments. Focusing on a feminine and distinct style, she was the first one to use Lurex mesh and wax clothing to design enchanting and unusual women undergarments.

In 1976, Chantal Thomas opened her first fashion design house at the Galleries Lafayettes in Paris. That year, she presented her first show at 100 rue du Cherche-Midi in the French city. In the 1980s, she introduced stationery, furniture and carpets. Together with Sara Lee, Chantal Thomass expanded into umbrellas and glasses in 1998.

The brand introduced its first fragrance, Chantal Thomass, in 2002. After opening new boutiques in Paris, Kiev and Moscow, the brand partnered with Dim Brands Apparel Group in 2005 to sell licensed products. The latter brand focused on selling textiles. A year later, the brand launched nightwear, pens and candles. Chantal Thomass further joined forces with JCD Creations and Createur d'Univers to expand production.

In 2009, the brand partnered with Nivea to launch to its cosmetics line. Chantal Thomass, in collaboration with other brands, improved its initial fragrance to produce Eau de Toilette Chantal Thomass. In 2011, the brand joined Groupe Chantelle to extend its product range. As of 2016, Chantal Thomass products are available in boutiques and shops in 18 countries around the world.
