Designer Parfums ltd Fragrances

At the design house of Designer Parfums, Ltd., making fine fragrances is a family affair. The company was founded in 2002 by Dilesh Mehta and is part of the Shaneel Enterprises Group. Dilesh founded the London-based Shaneel Enterprises with his brothers Yogesh and Hitesh in 1983.

Designer Parfums, Ltd. sells new and heritage fragrances in more than 130 countries. It is perhaps best-known as the owner of the prestigious Jean Patou line of fragrances. The company bought the Jean Patou line from Proctor & Gamble in July of 2011, adding the high-luxury brand to its stable of fragrances that also includes Agent Provocateur, Jean Louis Scherrer, Ghost, Aigner Parfums and Worth. Proctor & Gamble put the Jean Patou brand on hold for more than a decade before Designer Parfums revitalized it.

In-house Jean Patou perfumer Thomas Fontaine joined Designer Parfums, Ltd. shortly after the acquisition. Fontaine moved the production from the United Kingdom to France and chose high quality glass for the bottles and more expensive, locally sourced concentrates. Jean Patou's Joy is now known as the most expensive perfume in the world, with the jasmine costing 80,000 euros per kilo. Other Jean Patou fragrances include 1000, Sublime and Chaldée.

In 2015, Designer Parfums, Ltd. released Ari by Ariana Grande perfume. In addition to Designer Parfums, Ltd., the Shaneel Enterprises Group also owns PerfumeShopping.com, which sells a wide variety of perfumes for several different design houses over the internet.
