I have worn Chamade since I was 21; it was given to me for my birthday by dear friends and I have worn it ever since----many years. This scent is sophisticated & not for everyone since it tends to be floral yet heavy with a 'smokey' background. It's very sexy; conjuring the wearer as feminine, complex and mysterious. The translated name means the beating pattern of drums before battle. It's difficult to find outside of France so this is a great site to locate a scent that is not easily acquired. I adore Chamade; it's a timeless, distinctive signature for the wearer.

I have been wearing Chamade since 1970, it is MY PERFECT scent. I have to search high and low for it these days. Thank goodness for sites like this that still carry the hard to find scents!

Oh Chamade how you sing to me. Ist the black current and hyacinth hits cold and hard then it quiets in time to a softness but still quite cold. Sometimes it stays and then another it disappears only to reappear again in another guise. Chamade always keeps me guessing and is never boring. Another Guerlain masterpiece.

Guerlain Chamade: I have been searching for a signiature scent for a couple of years now. Have worn Chanel 19 and Fleurissimo in the mean time but never been happy with them though both are lovely neither last well on me. However, I have fallen in love with Chamademakes me feel elegant, feminine and sophisticated. It is a scent I wear for my own pleasure as much as in order to create an scented atmosphere around me. I am not god at describing the exact notes (other reviewers do this well) but Chamade has notes of hyacinthe, jasmine and blackcurrant buds. It starts quite strong and almost sharp but dries down to a warm, powdery floral scent that has vanilla notes too. It is the most beautiful scent I have ever used.
