In the twenty-five years since the release of her self-titled debut album in 1990, Mariah Carey has ascended into super-stardom. Over her career, she has sold more than 200 million records worldwide and has been celebrated for her remarkable vocal range and her groundbreaking blend of pop, gospel, hip-hop, and rhythm-and-blues. Through more than a dozen studio albums and numerous number-one singles and videos, Carey has long been a constant presence on radio and television. Her best-selling albums include Daydream, Butterfly, and The Emancipation of Mimi, as well as Merry Christmas, an album of holiday songs. Carey has also appeared as a judge on the television competition American Idol and has acted in several movies, including the critically praised Precious. Carey launched her namesake collection of feminine fragrances in 2007. Her first scent was M by Mariah Carey, followed by Luscious Pink, Ultra Pink, and Dreams. The fragrances in her Lollipop Collection, including Honey, Vision of Love, Mine Again, and more, are named after some of her most popular songs. Most of her perfumes feature sweet gourmand notes and sensual florals, and the packaging for most of the fragrances in the collection features Carey’s signature butterflies. One exception is Forever (2009), housed in an elegant Art Deco-influenced bottle.
