Chanel 19 has been my signature fragrance since I was 30—and I’m now in my 70s. Said to be Coco Chanel’s own later-in-life favorite, it’s the perfect scent for an independent woman: sophisticated, subtle, and beautifully complex with bergamot, lemongrass, and a hint of musk. Over the years, countless men have stopped me—in meetings, at parties, even once at a Union Station kiosk in D.C.—to ask what I’m wearing so they can buy it for their wives (with many polite assurances they weren’t hitting on me!). Oddly, it’s no longer easy to find in stores, so I always tell people to order it online. Chanel’s best-kept secret, and still my favorite.

I adore this fragrance. It's my go-to scent for doctor visits. I'm a 76 year old man and love the old fragrances that don't smell like a food court or a bakery.

Considering the price, I was hugely disappointed. It smells to me of grass and freesia..... I was looking for Chanel 22 and took a gamble that this one would be as good. It was NOT

Some grandmas shave old awful smelling perfumes bc there weren't many i dunno- to me Chanel #5 is One -reminds me of grandma perfume-not this!? My skin's very acidic-nothing smells same as on others-take into consider. Since like light florals, softer sents, hope its the usus..wow!..nice & softer fragrance thats out my budget-
